SocietyBee (www.societybee.in) is a housing society management platform operated by Simplifyne Technology Private Limited (“Simplifyne”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit our website or use the Service. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register or are added to a society, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, society name and your role (for example, admin, committee member or resident).
Society & member data
To provide billing, accounting and reporting, societies enter data such as flat and member details, billing and maintenance charges, receipts, payments, ledgers and related financial records (“Society Data”). This data is entered and controlled by your society, which is the owner of that data; we process it on the society’s behalf to deliver the Service.
Payment information
When you make a payment, it is processed by our payment gateway partner. We receive confirmation and transaction references but do not store full card or bank account credentials on our servers.
Usage & device information
Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and timestamps, including through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate and maintain the Service and your account;
- To generate bills, receipts, statements and statutory reports;
- To send transactional messages such as bills, receipts, reminders, security alerts and support or administrative notices (by email, WhatsApp or SMS);
- To process payments and prevent fraud or misuse;
- To respond to your questions, requests and support enquiries;
- To improve, troubleshoot and develop new features; and
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations, such as:

- payment gateways (for example, Razorpay) to process subscription and bill payments;
- email and messaging providers to deliver bills, receipts and notifications;

The Service is intended for use by adults managing or residing in housing societies and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The updated policy takes effect when posted on this page.
