    Refund & Cancellation Policy

    This policy explains how billing, cancellations and refunds work for paid SocietyBee subscriptions.

    1. Overview

    This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions of SocietyBee (www.societybee.in), the housing society management platform operated by Simplifyne Technology Private Limited (“Simplifyne”, “we”, “us”). It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. By purchasing a paid plan, you agree to this policy.

    2. Free Plan

    SocietyBee offers a free plan for smaller societies (up to 50 flats). The free plan involves no payment and therefore no refund applies. You can evaluate the core features on the free plan before upgrading to a paid plan.

    3. Subscription & Billing

    Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes (such as GST) unless stated otherwise. Online payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Razorpay.

    4. Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. When you cancel:

    • your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period that you have already paid for;
    • your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again; and
    • you can continue to export your society’s data during the active period before access ends.

    Cancelling a subscription does not automatically trigger a refund for the unused portion of the current period (see below).

    5. Refunds

    7-day satisfaction window (new subscriptions)

    If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment for that subscription. This applies to a society’s first upgrade from the free plan to a paid plan.

    After the 7-day window

    Subscription fees are generally non-refundable after the 7-day window. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period, partial months, or for periods where the account remained active but was not used.

    Renewals

    Renewal charges are non-refundable. To avoid being charged for a renewal, please cancel before your renewal date. If a renewal was charged in error or you cancelled but were still billed, contact us and we will resolve it.

    Duplicate or incorrect charges

    If you are charged more than once for the same subscription, or charged in error, we will refund the duplicate or incorrect amount in full.

    6. How to Request a Refund

    To request a refund or cancellation, email admin@societybee.in from your registered email address with your society name and the payment reference. You may also call us at +91 93260 12544. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days.

    7. Refund Processing Time

    Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method through Razorpay. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it typically takes 5–10 business days for the amount to reflect in your account after the refund is initiated.

    8. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The updated policy takes effect when posted on this page.
